Valerie Cordero Ph.D., serves as Co-Executive Director of Families for Depression Awareness. Valerie joined the FFDA staff in 2010 and has held positions in administration, programs, and development. She received her BA from Spelman College and earned her Masters and PhD in Ethnomusicology from the University of California at Los Angeles.
Susan Weinstein J.D., serves as Co-Executive Director of Families for Depression Awareness and Editor in Chief of Care for Your Mind, a mental health advocacy blog. She has been with the FFDA since 2012.
Carol Thomas is the Human Resources Director for Microdesk, a cutting-edge technology consultancy with 13 offices worldwide. Prior to Microdesk, Carol worked for Xerox Corporation for 34 years. She had a cross functional career at Xerox as a leader and executive in customer administration, sales, human resources, and service with over 30 years of management experience. Carol is a member of FFDA’s Board of Directors.
