Families for Depression Awareness was the national advocacy organization invited to partner with The McGovern Institute at MIT for an evening seminar on March 23, 2011 called “Understanding Brain Disorders: Depression.” The event featured a panel discussion by McGovern Investigators John Gabrieli and Ki Goosens, and President and Founder of Families for Depression Awareness, Julie Totten. Following the formal presentation, there was a lively open floor discussion among the audience of family members, supporters, and scientific researchers. The evening concluded with a reception and tour of the McGovern Institute brain-imaging center. 

In this one-hour video, McGovern investigators John Gabrieli and Ki Goosens joined Julie Totten, President and Founder of Families for Depression Awareness, in a panel discussion about depression.
